A Lisbon and Porto itinerary can involve frequent short connections for maps, train details and bookings. Save tickets and addresses offline, then use your mobile allowance for information that changes while you are travelling.

For a longer Algarve stay, count every day you need the connection, including departure day. If you will work remotely, estimate laptop use separately and confirm hotspot permission. For Madeira or the Azores, check the selected plan’s detailed coverage and local network information instead of relying on the country name alone.

Is a Portugal plan enough if I also visit Spain?

Check the coverage list. The Portugal-only plans shown here list PT coverage. Compare a regional plan in the app if you need both Portugal and Spain, or arrange a separate plan for each destination.

Check the supported-country list for the exact plan in the app. Local signal, your device and the selected network affect the connection; a coverage code is not a promise of service at every location.

Get ready before departure

The selected catalog plans list the first network connection as their billing start. Follow the exact order instructions and avoid connecting to a supported network before you intend to start the plan.

1. Check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.
2. Buy the plan in Stellar eSIM and follow its installation steps over a reliable connection.
3. When you are ready to use it, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and follow its roaming instructions.
4. Test a small web page and monitor the remaining data during the trip.

VPN access and top-ups

Stellar VPN is included for your eSIM plan’s validity period. Set up the separate VPN app using the access details supplied with your order; the eSIM purchase does not automatically connect the VPN.
